Why does my player restart each night?

All players and screens in PLAYipp automatically restart once per night, between 00:00 and 03:00, to ensure optimal performance. You can customize these settings for each individual screen to better suit your organization's needs.

If no custom settings have been configured, the player will follow the global restart settings. Read more about managing global restart settings in our separate guide

Change the restart schedule for a player

Follow the steps below to customize or disable the automatic restart schedule for a specific player:

1. Go to Signage in the navigation menu.
2. Click on Screens.
3. Select your screen in the tree or list view.
4. Go to the Settings tab for the selected screen.
5. Click Edit next to the Restart schedule heading.
6. Check Set a custom restart schedule.
7. Choose the desired time and the days you want the player to restart.

Note: If you do not enable a custom schedule, the player will continue to follow the global restart settings.
