PLAYipp Operational Service Hours – how it works
PLAYipp Operational Service Hours – how it works
In PLAYipp, "Operational Service Hours" work a little differently than in Databeat.
1. Default setting
-
All players are set to run 24/7 by default.
-
Automatic restart occurs once per night between 00:01–03:00.
-
If you do not change anything, the player will always be active.
2. Customization for multiple screens
- Use Screen Groups to define specific service hours (for example, opening hours) for multiple screens at the same time.
- When a screen is added to a Screen Group with defined service hours, the screen will follow this group's settings.
- This works like a kind of "opening hours per location" - but at the group level.
3. Individual deviations / override
- If you need special settings for a single screen (for example, a screen that should have its own times, or always be on regardless), use Override global settings at the screen level.
- This overrides both the default settings and any Screen Group settings.
Important to note for previous Databeat users:
- In Databeat, you set opening and closing times per location, and could choose whether each screen should follow this.
- In PLAYipp, you set it via Screen Groups (corresponding to location level), and screens can have individual overrides.
- So you can use Screen Groups to "group" screens that should have the same times, and use overrides for exceptions.
