Restart a screen via the interface

You can restart a screen remotely, directly from the PLAYipp interface. This is useful if, for example, the screen has frozen or is not showing the right content.

Before you start

The screen must be online for you to restart it via the interface. If the screen is offline, the command cannot reach it, and the screen needs to be restarted on site.

How to restart the screen

  1. Go to Screens.
  2. Click the screen you want to restart.
  3. Open Troubleshooting.
  4. Go to Screen commands.
  5. Click Restart screen.

The screen will restart within a few minutes.

If the screen is offline

If the screen is offline, it cannot be restarted via the interface. Instead, restart the screen on site, for example by disconnecting the power to the screen or player and then switching it back on.
