There are two situations when you need to connect a screen to a license:
- Error message on existing screen – If you see an error message stating that the license has expired or the screen has been disabled, it means there is no active license connected to your screen. This can happen if:
- Someone has removed the license from the screen
- The license period has expired and has not been renewed
- Adding a new screen – When you add a new screen to PLAYipp, you need to connect it to a license. This can be done either before or after you connect the physical screen.
Check available licenses
First, verify that you have an available license for the screen:
- Go to Administration > Licenses

Connect a license to your screen
- Click Signage

- Click the screen,
This can be done in both tree and listview
- Click Select subscription

- Click on the subscription drop down

- Select the license you want the screen to use

- Click save

The screen is now activated and will resume showing the published content.
