PLAYipps Google Calendar Integration

With PLAYipps Google Calendar Integration, you can easily display one or more of your calendars directly on calendar widgets in your digital signage solution. This makes it possible to present important meetings, events, and activities on screens in shared spaces like offices, meeting rooms, or reception areas. You can choose to view multiple calendars at the same time – for example, combining a work calendar with a calendar for conference room bookings or corporate events – so that all relevant information is gathered in one place. The information is automatically updated from Google Calendar, meaning your screens always show the latest information without you having to make manual updates.

Technical Specifications

PLAYipp’s Google Calendar integration uses the following permissions to function:

• https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.events – Allows PLAYipp to read, create, update, and delete events in your calendar. This is required for the core functionality of the integration to function.
• https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.readonly – Allows access to read your calendar information without making any changes. Used to view and retrieve existing events.
• https://www.googleapis.com/auth/userinfo.profile – Allows access to your basic profile information (such as name and profile picture) from your Google Account, which helps identify and personalize your experience.

Activate Google Calendar integration

To add the integration to your screen, follow these steps:

3. Click “Add to PLAYipp”
   
   
   
4. Click “Sign in with Google”
   
   
   
5. Click on your account
   
   
   
6. Click "Allow"
   
   
   
7. Click "Add source"
