This article will help you resolve issues where web content displays technical codes like "waitlist.waiting" or "footer.poweredBy" instead of readable translated text. This is particularly helpful when identical players show the same web link differently, or when booking systems, queue management widgets (Waitwhile), or other web applications fail to display in the correct language.
SYMPTOM
Technical codes visible instead of translated text:
-
"waitlist.waiting" instead of "3 customers waiting"
-
"footer.poweredBy" instead of "Powered by"
-
"booking.confirm" instead of "Confirm"
ENVIRONMENT
-
PLAYport HD
-
Web widgets with automatic language detection
-
Intermittent behavior - identical players may display differently
RESOLUTION
Try this first: Configure timezone
Many web applications use browser timezone to detect which language to display.
-
Go to player settings in PLAYipp Manager
-
Enable "Time zone" setting
-
Select the correct timezone for your location
-
Restart player
This resolves the issue in most cases.
If timezone doesn't help:
Some web applications accept language parameters in the URL. Try adding:
-
?locale=nb-NO (for Norwegian)
-
?lang=en-US (for English)
-
Check the web application's documentation for supported parameters
If issues persist:
