Factory reset

In this article, we will go through how to factory reset the most common screens that PLAYipp supports.

In this guide:

• LG WebOS 3.0
• LG WebOS 3.2 / 4.0 / 6
• Samsung SSSP 5, 6, 10, 11
• Samsung SSSP 4
• Philips - 3550Q, 4150D, 4051D, 4051D
• Philips - 5055P, 4050D
• Philips - 4550D, 4650D
• Philips - 3051T
• Philips - 4151T

LG WebOS 3.0

1. Press and hold the Settings button until a small box with a Chat icon appears. Quickly press 0000 and OK on the remote control to open the Signage Settings menu. This may take a few attempts.
2. Select the Signage Installation menu.
3. Scroll all the way down until you see the Factory Reset option. Click OK to confirm.

LG WebOS 3.2 / 4.0 / 6

1. Press the Settings button on the remote control.
2. Navigate to Admin using the arrow buttons on the remote control.
3. Activate admin by pressing OK on the remote control.
4. Enter the password (000000 by default).
5. Scroll down and select Reset to Factory Settings.
6. Press OK on the remote control to confirm.

Samsung SSSP 5, 6, 10, 11

1. Turn off the screen with the remote control. Then press Mute > 1 > 8 > 2 > Power on the remote control to turn the screen back on.
2. When the screen starts, it will provide access to the system menu.
3. Select "Options" in the first menu option and then select "Reset to Factory Settings".

Samsung SSSP 4

1. If you are in the PLAYipp app, you must first press Exit on the remote control.
2. Turn off the screen with the remote control.
3. Click Mute > 1 > 8 > 2 > Power on the remote control.
4. When the screen starts, it will provide access to the system menu.
5. Select "Options" in the first menu option and then select "Reset to Factory Settings".

Philips - 3550Q, 4150D, 4051D

1. Press the Home button on the remote control.
2. Then press 1 > 8 > 8 > 8 on the remote control.
3. Select "Settings" with the OK button on the remote control.
4. Navigate to "Signage Display" and press OK.
5. Navigate to "System Tools" and press OK.
6. Navigate to "Reset to Factory Settings" and press OK.
7. Confirm that you want to "Reset to Factory Settings".

1. Press the Home button on the remote control.
2. Then press 1 > 8 > 8 > 8 in quick succession on the remote control.
3. Select "System Tools" with the OK button on the remote control.
4. Navigate to "Reset to Factory Settings" and press OK.
5. Confirm that you want to "Reset to Factory Settings".

1. Press the Home button on the remote control.
2. Then press 1 > 8 > 8 > 8 in quick succession on the remote control.
3. Select "Signage Display" with the OK button on the remote control.
4. Select "System tools" with the OK button on the remote control.
5. Navigate to "Reset to Factory Settings" and press OK.
6. Confirm that you want to "Reset to Factory Settings".

This is a touch screen

1. Press and hold the power button (on the back of the screen).
2. Then press Minus 3 times (lower volume on the back of the screen).
3. Press Settings.
4. Press System Tools.
5. Press Reset to Factory Settings.

1. Press the power button (on the back of the screen).
