Everything you need to know about the Vitec integration
The Vitec integration connects PLAYipp to Vitec's real estate platform, automatically displaying your property listings on your screens — with no manual updates needed on your part.
The principle is simple: What PLAYipp receives from Vitec, PLAYipp displays. Once the integration is set up, no manual work is required to keep content current.
How Does the Integration Work? The integration is set up once during onboarding, in collaboration with your partner and Vitec. Here's how the data flows:
- Vitec creates an application on their side that connects to their own API and determines which data is sent to PLAYipp.
- PLAYipp receives the data and makes it available as a data source inside the PLAYipp platform.
- You use Real Estate Widgets in PLAYipp to display listings on your screens.
The integration setup is a one time process. Each customer's integration is unique filtering and field configuration is determined per order.
Important: PLAYipp applies no filtering to Vitec data. Everything PLAYipp receives is displayed. This means that if an object appears that shouldn't, or if an object is missing, the cause lies in Vitec's configuration not in PLAYipp.
Who Controls What Appears on Screen?
PLAYipp has no filtering logic for Vitec data. Everything Vitec sends is shown.
| Situation | Where is the issue? |
|---|---|
| An object appears that shouldn't | Check Vitec's configuration |
| An object is missing that should appear | Check Marknadsföring in Vitec |
Marknadsföring in Vitec – Publishing per Object
Vitec has a section called Marknadsföring (Marketing). This is where you as a broker can control which channels each individual property is published to for example PLAYipp, Instagram, and others.
How it works:
- Each property has its own marketing app in the Marknadsföring view.
- You activate or deactivate publishing to PLAYipp per property directly from this view.
- This is the only mechanism within your control to manage which objects appear in PLAYipp.
Tips:
- Is a property not showing in PLAYipp? First check whether it's active/published in Marknadsföring in Vitec.
- Is a property showing that shouldn't be? Deactivate it in Marknadsföring.
Object Statuses in Vitec
Every object in Vitec has a status that affects how it appears in PLAYipp.
| Status | Meaning | Behavior in PLAYipp |
|---|---|---|
| Kundbearbetning | Draft object is incomplete | ⚠️ Appears blank/broken in PLAYipp |
| Uppdrag finns | Listing agreement in place | Sent to PLAYipp if configured |
| Snart till salu | Coming soon | Sent to PLAYipp if configured |
| Kommande | Upcoming | Sent to PLAYipp if configured |
| Till salu | Active listing | Sent to PLAYipp if configured |
| Vilande | Dormant/on hold | Sent to PLAYipp if configured |
| Reserverad ej till salu | Reserved, not for sale | Sent to PLAYipp if configured |
| Såld | Sold | Sent to PLAYipp if configured |
| Såld referensobjekt | Sold reference object | Visible until removed from Marknadsföring |
⚠️ Kundbearbetning Important to Know
Objects with the status Kundbearbetning (Draft) are not complete in Vitec not all mandatory fields have been filled in. These objects will appear blank or broken on screen in PLAYipp.
Seeing a blank slide on your screen? This is the most likely cause.
Fix: Complete the object in Vitec, or ensure it is not being sent to PLAYipp via Marknadsföring.
Sold Reference Objects
Sold reference objects are objects that the broker actively wants to keep visible after sale to showcase past work. They will continue to appear on screen until the broker removes them from Marknadsföring. This is intentional behavior.
Note: If old sold objects are never removed from Marknadsföring, they accumulate in the feed. Make sure to clean up objects that are no longer relevant.
Real Estate Widgets Display TypesPLAYipp offers four display types for the Real Estate widget. All four show exactly the same data the only difference is visual layout.

Minimal ⭐ Most Popular

- Status shown: No
- Description: Not displayed
- Best for: Showcasing property photography. This is the most popular choice among real estate broker customers.
Description Fields: Short vs. Long Description
Each property in Vitec has two description fields:
- Short sales description (Kort säljande beskrivning) used first
- Long sales description used as a fallback if no short description exists
PLAYipp always tries to use the short description first. If no short description is entered in Vitec, the widget automatically switches to the long description.
Recommendation: Always fill in the short sales description for each property in Vitec. This is what appears on screen keep it punchy and relevant.
| Widget | Character limit |
|---|---|
| Alternative | 0–1,000 characters |
| Landscape | 50–200 characters |
| Portrait | 50–200 characters |
| Minimal | Description not displayed |

What this means for you:
- Changes made in Vitec will appear in PLAYipp within approximately 20 minutes.
- Don't see a change immediately? Wait 20 minutes before troubleshooting.
Troubleshooting Common Issues
A listing doesn't appear on screen

- Does the object have status Kundbearbetning (draft)? If so, complete all mandatory fields in Vitec first.
- Is the integration active in PLAYipp? (Check the integrations panel)

Fix: Complete the object in Vitec, or remove it from PLAYipp's marketing channel in Marknadsföring.

Fix: Deactivate the object's marketing app in Marknadsföring, or contact Vitec to update the integration configuration.
