This guide describes how to install and configure the PLAYipp app on LG screens with webOS 6.1. The process includes basic screen configuration and installation of the PLAYipp software via SI server settings.
Note: Steps may vary depending on screen model and software version.
Prerequisites

- Network connection (WiFi or Ethernet)
- Remote control to navigate the screen's menus
Installation Steps
Basic Screen Configuration
- Start the screen
- Select language, continent, country/territory, and city (city is optional)
- Connect to the network via WiFi or Ethernet
- Accept the Terms of Use
- Click Next
- Select Quick settings and click Start
- Set the screen rotation – specify whether it should be in landscape or portrait mode depending on how the screen is mounted
- Make sure the time and date are correctly set
- Click Go to settings
PLAYipp App Installation
- Navigate to EZ settings > SI server settings
- Select SI Server setting
- Enter the following settings:
- Fully qualified domain name = ON
- Enter: https://lg.playipp.com/app.ipk
- Application launch mode = Local
- Application type = ipk
- Select Local application upgrade = Remote
- Confirm the upgrade
- Click OK when the upgrade is complete
- Reboot the screen
After Installation
