Your new PLAYipp account
First we need to manage your new account for PLAYipp. Set up your screen structure, and prepare your activation code, to begin the process with players.
Installation of players
Internal players
Internal players (Samsung, LG) can be moved from Databeat to PLAYipp by uninstalling the Databeat app, and installing the Playipp app.
- Factory reset your device. We recommend performing a factory reset of your device, but for a quick installation most devices enables you to uninstall Databeat's app through menu and change the custom app URL to download PLAYipp's app.
- Samsung: Home - App Management / URL Launcher Settings.
NB! The app cannot be running while performing this action.Restart your Samsung display. (Alternatively press: [Menu/Home - Exit] for Samsung TEP)
Press the HOME button on the Samsung remote when the OMNIplay app is starting.
(Starting up is when you see a grey-ish background with the DatabeatOMNI logo)Press EXIT on the Samsung remote when the Samsung toolbar has appeared.
- LG: Settings - EZ Settings - SI Server Setting - Fully Qualified Domain Name.
- Samsung: Home - App Management / URL Launcher Settings.
- Install the PLAYipp app.
- Activate signage screen.
External players
External players (OMNIplay3, OMNIplay4) are currently not supported. This process is expected to be ready in Q2 2025.
